Tailornova promises sewing patterns with no Math calculations, so I tried them out so you don’t have to. This is not your usual Tailornova Review.
We are allowed to download two free patterns using our measurements as instructed in the website. The patterns are well made, but there are no sewing instructions available yet.
I also found a little mistake on the technical drawing, but again – I am very picky person. The Tailornova website is not really finished and they are still working on it and we can expect new cool updates, but most of the nice features are behind the monthly subscription service pay-wall.
There are a few adjustments necessary, but this also happen with patterns you calculate from stretch, so we can’t be so mean about it. The only thing I am totally unhappy about Tailornova is the fact that I was not able to fix that shirt (still) – I will do it, though and I will keep you informed hehehe.
Did you try it out? What was your experience?
Overall I think Tailornova is a great idea and asset for designers, but it is still rough around the edges… Let’s see what the future brings us.
For now, I will continue to draft my own patterns, so a lot more math to come…
